A complete projection of the actual loading, and stowage of a vessel is required. The marine carrier operations ashore and the interrelationship between the cargo vessel and shore side operations. Precautions before entering in closed spaces. Tanker development and construction. Characteristics of various cargoes carried by tankers. Loading and discharging of liquid bulk cargoes, ballast handling, Inert gas, Crude oil wash system. Oil tanker safety and terminology, LNG, special vessels, operational practices and obligations under applicable law. Regulations for tankers.
