Course Description
This subject provides basic knowledge of the construction of a d.c. machine, types of d.c. motor and their characteristics, typical applications of d.c. motors, methods of speed control of d.c. motors, the principle of operation of a three-phase induction motor, torque-speed and torque-slip characteristics for an induction motor, and methods of starting induction motors.
