This course covers the knowledge and skills necessary to introduce the principles of maritime safety by complying with emergency and safety procedures, assuming leadership and organizing personnel effectively, controlling firefighting operations using firefighting equipment, demonstrating proficiency in personal survival techniques, preventing pollution of the marine environment, observing safe working practices, contributing to effective communications on board, understanding and taking necessary actions to control fatigue, and contributing to enhancing maritime security.
