Course Description
The course will provide the knowledge of safety from hazards of electrical equipment, electrical circuit testing operations, methods of the detection of malfunction of electrical equipment, electrical distribution systems, insulated and earthed neutral systems, transformers and instrument transformers, shore supply connection, protection equipment, cables specifications, operation of AC generator, generator construction and cooling, methods of excitation, automatic voltage regulator, generator running in parallel, emergency generation. types of circuit breakers, construction and operation principle of motor, motor enclosures, control equipment, DOL starting, reduced voltage starting methods, speed control of AC motor, motor protection, single-phase motor, ancillary Electrical Services, and electrical survey requirements.
