The General Orientation Meeting for New Students
As part of the Jordan Academy for Maritime Studies’ commitment to preparing its newly admitted students, the general orientation meeting for new students was held on Monday, April 13, 2026, at the Academy’s main auditorium.
The meeting was attended by students who were accepted into various maritime specializations, including Maritime Navigation, Marine Engineering, and Marine Electrical Engineering, for the current academic semester.
The event was attended by the Director of Admissions, Registration, and Student Affairs, who welcomed the attendees and delivered an overview of the Academy. He was joined by the Head of the Marine Engineering Department, the Head of the Basic Sciences Department, the Head of the Maritime Navigation Department, and Captain Mohsen Al-Qasrawi, each of whom provided an introduction to their respective fields.
The session included an overview of academic rules and regulations, registration procedures, and student services. It also covered guidance on using the electronic portal and the learning platform, while emphasizing the importance of academic advising and the role of the Academy’s library in supporting students’ academic journey.
The meeting concluded with an open discussion session, during which students’ questions and inquiries were addressed, contributing to a smoother integration and a confident start to their academic path.
