Jordan Academy for Maritime Studies (JAMS) participated in the celebration of the fifth Jordanian Maritime Day, which was held Thursday, 11/02/2021, under the patronage of His Excellency the Honorable Minister of Transport, Engineer Marwan Al-Khaitan.

The ceremony was held by means of video and audio communication via Microsoft Teams application.

The Academy’s participation was represented by His Excellency the President of the Academy, Prof. Mustafa Massad, and a number of department heads and department managers. His Excellency delivered a welcoming speech in which he addressed the Academy’s response to COVID-19 and since the beginning of the pandemic, as the Academy has not stopped providing its services throughout the previous periods. Prof. Massad also stressed that the Academy has captured the royal directives towards emphasizing the continuation of the educational process and emphasizing investment in distance learning as a future and not only as an alternative solution during the pandemic period.

Business Development and Quality Management Department made a presentation about the Academy’s handling of the pandemic, which was represented by educational and training processes’ elements; lecturers, learners, infrastructure, and an educational environment, in addition to academic materials, laws and regulations governing during this unusual period.
