“One Bullet… Unforgettable Consequences – Social Responsibility Starts with the Individual”
The Jordanian Academy for Maritime Studies organized an awareness workshop on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, titled “One Bullet… Unforgettable Consequences – Social Responsibility Starts with the Individual”, held at the Academy’s Main Theater in the Administration Building.
The workshop was organized by the Admission, Registration, and Student Affairs Department, in cooperation with the Public Security Directorate, represented by the Media Department, Community Police, and Abu Nseir Police Station. The event aimed to raise community awareness about the dangers of celebratory gunfire and highlight its negative impact on public safety and community security.
The workshop addressed several awareness-focused themes, emphasizing the importance of individual responsibility in protecting society, promoting a culture of social responsibility, and strengthening partnerships between educational institutions and security agencies to spread awareness and foster a safe environment.
This event comes as part of the Jordanian Academy for Maritime Studies’ ongoing efforts to support purposeful awareness initiatives and reinforce national and social values among its students.
The workshop was attended by a number of administrative and academic staff members, in addition to wide participation from the Academy’s students.
The Academy reaffirmed its commitment to continuing the organization of such meaningful activities that contribute to building a well-informed generation aware of the risks of negative behaviors, while promoting both individual and social responsibility.
At the conclusion of the event, the Assistant President of the Academy, Dr. Hamza Massad, delivered a word of appreciation and presented commemorative shields to the organizing partners.
