This Course designed to provide instruction and proficiency in compliance with the International Ship and Port Security (ISPS) Code for Company and Ship Security Officers (CSO & SSO).

• Describer course objectives and evaluation criteria, describe current state of global maritime security
• Describe recommended practices and procedures listed in current international and national regulations and policies including SOLAS & ISPS
• Describe and discuss the security responsibilities of the contracting governments ships company, CSO & SSO and personnel involved in the port facility / ship interface Conduct exercise
• Describe a ship security assessment based on potential threats and risks identified by a risk-based security analysis and an onboard security survey Conduct exercise
• Describe how to develop and implement a SSP based on the assessment and comply with ISPS requirements and NVICS Conduct exercise
• Discuss actions required at different security levels, maintaining the ship/port facility interface, use of declaration of security and implementation of security procedures.
• Identify characteristics and behavior patterns of persons likely to threaten security, describe weapons, and describe crowd management
• Describe physical security equipment, systems & maintenance to mitigate security risks including ship security alert system
• Discuss contingency planning, drills and exercises, debriefings and incident command Conduct exercise
• Discuss training requirements for CSO/ SSO and ship personnel with emphasis on security awareness and understanding of responsibilities under the vessel security plan.

1. Attending courses is daily and according to the schedule of each trainee who should adhere to the start time of courses.
2. Please be available in lecture room at least 15 minutes before scheduled time whether the course is virtual or in person.
3. Approved costume while attending is formal or semi-formal costume.
4. Effective participation and sharing of experiences is a must.
5. Full attendance of the course is a must as the lecturer will allow no interruptions or delay during the whole course.

As for general courses fees will be refunded in case of withdrawal before the set date of the course, but in the case of custom-built courses, fees are refundable if cancellation is notified one week before the set date. Otherwise, agreed-upon fees will be chargeable.
