Description

This course is designed to expand the trainees’ knowledge and exchange of experiences regarding maritime transport in general and its administrative and legal aspects, in addition to the role of maritime agencies in conducting global maritime trade

•Introduce participants to the various aspects of maritime transport operations, and provide them with the expertise and knowledge related to these aspects in terms of contracts, leasing, manifests, and B/L.

• Types of ownership and operation of ships, carriers, and maritime markets.
• Maritime transport and its importance in international trade, and compared with other types of international transport, and types of ownership and operation of ships and tankers, and shipping markets.
• General theory of marine costs and the nature of marine costs.
• Factors determining freight rates for liner, tramp, and chartered vessels.
• Voyage carter and time charter.
• Types of shipping contracts.
• Ways and means of resolving disputes arising from maritime transport contracts.
• The importance of shipping agencies in the service of maritime transport.
• Relationships of shipping agencies with port authorities, exporters, importers, ship owners, and charterers.

• Employee in the maritime transport sector
• Employee in maritime companies, import and export companies, banks, insurance companies, accountants, and auditors related to the maritime transport sector.
• public and private sector employees whose job requires knowledge and application of transport maritime & shipping agencies.

1. The attendance of the courses is daily and according to the schedule of each trainee and the commitment to the start times of the courses.
2. Please be in the course hall (face or virtual) a quarter of an hour before the start of the course.
3. The approved dress while attending the session is formal or semi-formal.
4 . Active participation and exchange of experiences from everyone.
5 . Attending the entire session without being absent for periods and then returning, as the lecturer will follow the full attendance of the session.

•You will be provided with a link for the program or the application to be used to enable you to join lectures.

As for general course, fees will be refunded in case of withdrawal before set date of the course, but in the case of custom-built courses, fees are refundable if cancellation is notified one week before the set date. Otherwise, agreed-upon fees will be chargeable.
